Sea-Doo RXT-X 325 Review
The Sea-Doo RXT Line
The history of RXTs started with the legendary RXT 215, introduced in 2005.
The Sea-Doo RXT family was a unique blend of touring and performance models.
Over the years the manufacturer released many great RXTs, which were as follows:
- 2005-2010: RXT 215
- 2008-2009: RXT-X 255
- 2009: RXT iS 255

- 2024- RXT-X 325
Sea-Doo RXT-X 325 Engine and Propulsion
There’s no question that the most exciting novelty on the RXT-X 325 is its 325hp engine.
The predecessor of this power source was the proven 1630 Rotax ACE 300, which was the high-end Sea-Doo engine from 2018 through 2023.
This 300hp power mill was upgraded for the 2024 model year with the 1630 Rotax ACE 325 rated at 325hp.
This power source not only delivers an additional 25 horsepower but also has many upgrades, including:
- Upgraded, ceramic thermal-coated pistons (for better heat mitigation and less friction)
- Revamped, fast-spinning supercharger (featuring a larger intake and smaller impeller)
- Thicker valve rockers
- Lowered crankcase
- Less restrictive air intake system for easier breathing
- Revamped intake valve train
- Exhaust manifold equipped with an o2 sensor
- Higher REV limit (8000 to 8250 RPM)
- Upgraded fuel pump and engine management system
- New spark plugs
- Type: 4-stroke, Inline-3
- Power: 325hp @ 8250 RPM
- Supercharged and intercooled
- 12 valves with hydraulic lifters
- Electronic throttle body
- Single over head camshaft (SOHC)
- Water-cooled exhaust system
- Dry sump lubrication system
- Rotax multi-port fuel injection
- Closed-loop cooling system
- Electric starter
With this outstanding performance, the Rotax 1630 ACE 325 is right now the most powerful jet ski engine out of the box.
The power is transferred to a high-performance axial-flow, single-stage jet pump via a direct drive shaft. It’s equipped with an extended VTS and a polished stainless-steel impeller to handle the increased engine power.
Drawbacks?
To the greatest regret of many fans, this engine is only available on the RXP-X 325 and RXT-X 325 this model year. However, we’re sure that it will find its way into the top-of-the-line GTX models soon.
We also have to mention that the 325hp Sea-Doos can’t be opted for with the popular iDF system due to their unique engine design.
Sea-Doo RXT-X 325 Hull
Unlike the engine, the body of the RXT-X 325 has been carried over from the previous model year without any significant changes.
Like any other RXT and GTX model since 2018, the RXT-X 325 also enjoys the sporty ST3 hull.
This amazing platform has built a reputation for stability and great rough water handling. This is why RXT and GTX Sea-Doos are considered some of the best offshore PWCs ever built.
In terms of dimensions, the RXT-X 300 and RXT-X 325 are completely identical; they measure 135.9 inches in length, 49.4 inches in width, and 45.2 in height.
The roomy top deck offers plenty of space and encloses an 18.5-gallon fuel tank.
You can expect the total storage capacity of the ski to be 26.1 gallons split into a 0.8-gallon glovebox and the Direct-Access Front Storage rated at 25.3 gallons.
The latter is a Sea-Doo-exclusive front storage that is accessible directly from the seat without leaning over the handlebars.
Regarding color schemes, you can choose from Fiery Red Premium or Ice Metal and Manta Green.
