Sea-Doo Tech Package Review

BRP Premium Audio System

The Sea-Doo-exclusive Premium Audio System is specifically engineered for high-end Sea-Doo models.

Unlike aftermarket PWC sound systems, this OEM system is ergonomically integrated into the design of the machines. It can be connected to a smartphone via Bluetooth, while the two 50-watt speakers are designed to be fully submersible.

The left speaker features a remote control for changing volume and songs. What’s more, the music won’t stop even if you shut the engine off!

The key features of the BRP Premium Audio System are as follows:

  • Fully integrated design
  • Bluetooth connectivity
  • Two fully-submersible 50-watt speakers
  • Remote control pad on left speaker
  • Music will play even after the engine is shut down
  • Availability: RXT, RXT-X, GTX, Fish Pro Trophy, and WAKE Pro (2018 and newer)
Although this sound system doesn’t come cheap, many riders consider it a decent deal for the price. It’s so loud that you can hear the music until you’re riding at a speed of about 50-55 mph.

Drawbacks?

First, the speakers have to be mounted at the front of the footwells. This means that they take up some leg room, which can be a drawback for taller riders.

Also, the speakers are angled so that you can only hear them when you’re sitting on the saddle. If you want to ride in a standing position, you will barely hear the music.

Full Color 7.8” Wide Display

Another element of the Sea-Doo Tech Package is the full color 7.8” wide display, which debuted on the 2021 GTX Limited 300.

In 2022, Sea-Doo started to offer it on high-end Sea-Doo models, including the RXT-X 300, RXP-X 300, and the Wake Pro as an option.

Also known as the “Panoramic Sea-Doo display,” this innovative dashboard provides a clear view of the machine’s vitals.

There’s no question that the key advantage of this new screen is its smartphone connection capability. This means that the display can be split and paired with your smartphone via the BRP Connect app.

Just connect your smartphone to the dashboard to get directions from the navigation, check the weather forecast, listen to your favorite music, accept calls, or read your messages right on the screen.

Beyond these amazing options, the screen shows the regular gauges like the speedometer, tachometer, and trim gauges.

Additionally, it offers you a lot of other information that can prove valuable on your rides.

According to the manufacturer, the key features of this Sea-Doo 7.8” Panoramic Display are as follows:
  • BRP Connect
  • Music
  • Weather
  • Bluetooth connectivity
  • Speedometer
  • RPM
  • Clock
  • VTS™
  • Fuel consumption
  • Fuel autonomy
  • Water Temperature
  • Depth Finder
  • Speed statistics
  • Vehicle hours
  • Sport Mode
  • ECO® Mode
  • Slow Mode
  • Speed Regulator
The display can be easily controlled with buttons mounted right at your right thumb. This results in more safety and convenience as you don’t have to let go of the handlebar to control the system.

The brightness level also automatically adjusts based on the ambient light.

On top of that, with the BRP GO! navigation app, you can share live maps and routes with other Sea-Doo riders!
