Sea-Doo GTS 130 Hull and Top Deck

The 2011-2016 Sea-Doo GTS 130 borrowed its platform from the GTI line.

Its top deck was revamped for the 2011 season, while the hull was carried over from the 2006-2010 GTI line with no significant changes.

The latter featured a shallow, 16-degree deadrise, which remained for these vintage 2-stroke Sea-Doos.But unlike its obsolete predecessors, the new GTI/GTS platform featured more modern angular lines and packed a lot of innovative features.

In terms of dimensions, the 2011-2016 GTS 130 measured 132.6 inches in length, 48.5 inches in width, and 44 inches in height.

The dry weight of the ski was 745 pounds, 10 pounds lighter than the more advanced GTIs.

Regarding capacities, the overall load capacity of the GTS was 600 pounds while its total storage capacity was 30.8 gallons. The latter included standard front storage and a sizeable glovebox.

It also had a standard 15.9-gallon fuel tank.

To distinguish this model from the GTI line and keep its price down, the GTS featured a very minimalist color scheme.

In ‘11-‘12 the ski featured a black hull and a white top deck and seat with some red accents. The accents were changed to green for the ’13-’14 seasons.

For the last two years, the GTS returned with a white hull and top deck that were completed with a black hood, orange seat, and orange decals.

Not only was this model offered without the innovative iBR brake and reverse system, but it also lacked a standard cable-controlled reverse.

Sea-Doo GTS 130 Performance

The GTS 130 was known as an easy-handling beginner jet ski with predictable behavior and great maneuverability.

Its old-school, shallow-V hull wasn’t designed for sharp cornering. Instead, it could spin out relatively easily, so it offered very playful rides.

The drawback of this design was arguably its poor rough-water performance.
