Kawasaki 750SXi Pro Hull

Contrary to popular belief, the SX/SXi and SXi Pro weren’t built on the same platform.

Although the hull of the SXi Pro was derived from the SX/SXi, it was redesigned for higher performance.

The differences between these hull designs were significant, which translated to very different riding characteristics.

The SX/SXi hull was very fast, but it offered poor handling at higher speeds. In contrast, the redesigned SXi Pro was much easier to handle, however its top speed was 2-3 mph less than its predecessor.

You could also find a concave leading in front of the intake grate, which ensured a better hookup.

The handling and stability of the SXi Pro could be even more enhanced with front sponsons or an extended ride plate.

Regarding dimensions, the SXi Pro measured 87 inches in length, 27.6 inches in width, and 26.8 inches in height.

The dry weight of the ski was 340 pounds, 13.5 pounds more than the 750SXi.

Kawasaki 750SXi Pro Engine and Propulsion

The Kawasaki 750SXi Pro shared its 2-stroke, dual-carb, “big-pin,” 743cc, vertical twin marine engine with the 750SXi.

This high-performance power mill was designed with a lot of advanced features, including:

It’s safe to say that the engines of the SXi and SXi Pro were almost equivalent, except that the latter lacked an oil injection system.

The engine of the SXi Pro was slightly relocated in the hull, so the length of the direct driveshaft also changed.

This driveshaft was connected to an axial-flow, single-stage jet pump housing a three-blade, stainless-steel impeller, producing a maximum thrust of 628 pounds.
