Sea-Doo GTX Line Review

The GTX series represents the Touring models in the widely popular Sea-Doo fleet. As the name of this category suggests, these machines are designed for long rides.

The 2022 Sea-Doo GTX family includes four models, which share the same predictable ST3 platform. This large comfortable hull is made of fiberglass and offers industry-leading stability.

Regarding dimensions, the Sea-Doo ST3 platform is 135.9 inches long, 49.2 inches wide, and 44.8 inches high.

Its large two-piece Ergolock seat comes with a stepped design and can carry three adult riders safely and legally. The weight capacity of the GTX line is uniformly 600 pounds.

This hull also houses an 18.5-gallon fuel tank, which ensures excellent fuel range. The total storage capacity of these skis is 26.1 gallons, which is made up of a 0.8-gallon glove box and a 25.3-gallon front storage compartment.

However, unlike regular jet skis with a simple front storage bin, the ST3 hull has a direct-access front storage. This design allows you to reach the storage compartment without getting off the seat.

As you can imagine, it’s a huge advantage on open waters.

Let’s drill into the details and compare the four Sea-Doo GTX models head-to-head!

The entry-level model in the Sea-Doo touring fleet is the GTX 170. In fact, this is the only Touring Sea-Doo that is powered by a naturally-aspirated engine option.
