2025 Sea-Doo RXT-X 325 Review and Specs [Video]
It’s safe to say that the Sea-Doo RXP-X 325 is the most powerful touring PWC in Sea-Doo’s fleet. Even though it’s advertised as a performance model, it shares its ST3 hull, 325hp supercharged engine, and many other features with the touring/luxury GTX Limited 325.
But while the latter is tuned for comfort, the RXT-X 325 is designed for performance-minded riders.
If you want to find out more about this popular ski, this post is for you.
We at JetDrift have compiled all you need to know into this detailed review.
2025 Sea-Doo RXT-X 325 Review
Introduction
The Sea-Doo RXT line has been around since 2005 when the manufacturer introduced the legendary RXT 215.
Released to be a performance-touring Sea-Doo, the RXT 215 borrowed its comfortable hull from the high-end GTX 4-TEC.
Over the decades these model lines have undergone many changes and upgrades but their identity hasn’t changed.
The RXT remains the sportier, more aggressive version of the touring GTX Sea-Doo.
It is no different with the latest models, the RXT-X 325 is literally a “performance edition” of the flagship GTX Limited 325.
Let’s get down to the nitty-gritty and talk about the key specifications and features of the former in detail.
Hull and Top Deck
Most full-sized Sea-Doos are built on the fiberglass ST3 platform, and the RXT-X 325 is no exception.
According to the manufacturer, this shell is designed with stability and comfort in mind.
So, it’s not just a marketing slogan.
With its impressive dimensions, heavy weight, and deep, 23-degree deadrise, the ST3 has proven to be the most stable hull in the PWC industry.
When it comes to dimensions, the RXT-X 325 measures 135.8 inches in length, 49.2 inches in width, and 45.3 inches in height.
Its dry weight is 842 pounds which increases to 967 pounds with a battery and liquids.
Adding the weight of some gear and a single-axle PWC trailer, you can expect the total weight of the rig to be in the ballpark of 1,200-1,300 pounds.
The large top deck of the RXT-X offers plenty of deck space and houses a Sea-Doo exclusive front storage compartment.
Rated at 25.3 gallons, this storage unit is accessible without having to get up from the saddle.
It also features a useful bin organizer, but you can also store smaller items in the .8-gallon glovebox, which has a smartphone storage case as well.
In terms of color schemes, the RXT-X 325 can be ordered with either “Metallic Tan” or “Lava Red” dresses in 2025.
Features
Besides its high-performance engine and well-designed body, the RXT-X 325 stands out in a crowd with its innovative features.
Some of the most exciting of these include the Ergolock cockpit system, utilizing a narrow racing seat with a removable rear portion and knee pads.
The hydraulic steering damper also comes standard on the RXT-X.
Its innovative damper system reduces the negative impacts of the chop, which translates to less fatigue, more precise control, and a smoother riding experience.
What’s more, its adjustable design allows you to choose from three different handlebar positions.
We also have to mention the X-performance features like extended VTS, X-sponsons, and a polished impeller.
First introduced on the flagship GTX, the Tech Package also comes standard on the RXT-X 325.
This package includes a 7.8-inch display with USB and smartphone app integration and the 100W BRP Premium Audio System.
Other standard features of the RXT-X 325 include:
- Ergolock two-piece seat
- Knee pads
- Seat strap
- Large swim platform with integrated LinQ system
- Direct-access front storage
- Storage bin organizer
- Glovebox w/watertight phone compartment
- Premium BRP Audio System
- USB port
- Hydraulic Steering Damper
- Tilt steering
- Ski tow eye
- Wide angle mirrors
- Angled footwell wedges
- Handle grips with palm rests
- Footwell carpets
It’s good to know that the RXT-X 325 comes standard without a reboarding step. Fortunately, this useful feature is available as an option.
Unlike the GTX Limited 325, which is fitted with the huge 10.25-inch touchscreen dashboard, the RXT-X 325 is designed with a smaller, 7.8-inch screen.
The main gauge functions on this panoramic LCD dashboard are as follows:
- Speedometer
- RPM
- BRP Connect
- Music
- Weather
- Bluetooth connectivity
- Clock
- VTS
- Fuel consumption
- Fuel autonomy
- Weather
- Speed statistics
- Vehicle hours
- Speed Regulator
- Mode selector (Sport Mode, ECO Mode, Slow Mode)
- Launch control
Engine
As the name suggests, the power source of the RXT-X 325 is the high-end Rotax 1630 ACE 325 engine. This supercharged and intercooled 4-stroke, fuel-injected, 1630cc triple cranks out a whopping 325hp.
Introduced in 2024, this high-end engine makes the Sea-Doo RXT-X 325 the most powerful model on the PWC market (besides the RXP-X 325 and GTX Limited 325, of course.)
This 325hp Rotax 1630 ACE is based on its 300hp predecessor, but enjoys a refreshed design and a lot of performance upgrades.
The most important of these include a faster-spinning supercharger, ceramic thermal-coated pistons, and upgraded fuel and engine management systems.
Just like any other high-end Sea-Doo engine, this 325hp variant also packs a lot of advanced technologies, including:
- Closed-loop cooling system (CLCS)
- Dry sump lubrication system
- VTS (Variable Trim System)
- Exhaust system: D-Sea-Bel System
- iTC Throttle system
- IBR – Intelligent Brake & Reverse
- RF D.E.S.S Key
Even though it now comes standard on the GTX Limited 325, the RXT-X 325 skill lacks the iDF (Intelligent Debris-Free System).
Performance
Contrary to popular belief, the RXT-X is not built to be a racing PWC.
Unlike the race-ready RXP-X, the RXT-X is much more of a touring machine that combines performance and comfort.
While its heavy, deep-V hull can cut through the smaller chop, it tends to become fairly unpredictable in rougher water conditions.
Despite its larger touring platform, the RXT-X 325 can do the 0-60 mph sprint in about 3.6 seconds.
Note that it’s just .2 mph slower than the 0-60 time of the RXP-X 325, which makes this ski the fastest accelerating PWC off the shelf.
The top speed of both are electrically governed to just 67-68 mph by the manufacturer.
However, by installing performance kits, the top speed of the RXT-X 325 can be increased up to 80-85 mph.
For closed-course use only, of course!
