2025 Sea-Doo GTX Limited 325 Review
Introduction
The Sea-Doo GTX line has been around since 1993 when the Canadian manufacturer introduced the 3-seater GTX 580.
Designed to be the luxury/touring model in the fleet, the GTX has undergone many changes over the years.
In 2002, the model was re-introduced with a 4-stroke engine under the name of the GTX 4-TEC.
What’s more, the GTX has since grown into a complete model line, including many different models and engine options. Some of them like the GTX iS 215 featured a Sea-Doo-exclusive suspension seat.
The latest models in this breed include the GTX 170, 230, 300, and the new Limited 325.
Let’s drill into the details and talk about this ski in detail.
Hull and Top Deck
As a rule of thumb, each Sea-Doo GTX is built on a full-size ST3 platform.
Claimed to be the most stable platform in the PWC industry, the ST3 replaced its S3 predecessor in 2018.
This fiberglass shell enjoys a deep-V design and low center of gravity, which ensures great stability.
In terms of dimensions, the 2025 GTX Limited 325 measures 135.9 inches in length, 49.2 inches in width, and 44.9 inches in height.
Its claimed dry weight is a whopping 849 pounds while its estimated curb weight is close to 975 pounds. Sitting on a single-axle trailer, you can expect the weight of the complete rig to be in the ballpark of 1250-1300 pounds.
The ski is rated for three riders or 600 pounds and houses an 18.5-gallon fuel cell.
Its spacious 26.1-gallon storage capacity is split into an .8-gallon glovebox and a 25.3-gallon front storage. The latter features an easy-access design, which makes the compartment accessible without having to get out of the saddle.
Its White Pearl color scheme was carried over from last year but in 2025 the ski can be ordered with a blue-grey coloring labeled as Teal Metallic.

Features
Just like the hull and top deck, most accessories and features of the GTX Limited 325 were also carried over from the predecessor GTX Limited 300 without any significant changes.
The few exceptions include drop-in cleats and the intuitive BRP Connect 10.25-inch display, which is marketed as the largest touchscreen dashboard on the PWC market.
(In contrast, the competitor FX SVHO was recently upgraded with a smaller, 7-inch dashboard.)
This was originally designed for BRP’s Can-Am off-road vehicles and trikes, but it found its way into the Sea-Doo PWC lineup.
This innovative infotainment screen comes standard with many useful functions, including:
- Speedometer
- Tachometer
- Trim (VTS)
- Fuel consumption
- Fuel level
- Water Temp.
- Engine hours
- Mode selector (Sport/ECO/Slow Mode)
- Speed Regulator
- BRP Connect
- Music
- Bluetooth connectivity
- Clock
Besides this innovative dashboard, the 2025 GTX Limited 325 comes standard with a plethora of bells and whistles.
Without the need for completeness, the most important of these are as follows:
- Stepped Ergolock seat
- Seat strap
- Boarding ladder
- Direct-access front storage
- Storage bin organizer
- Watertight phone compartment
- LinQ attachment system
- Premium BRP Audio System
- 2 Pop-Up Cleats
- Knee pads
- Footwell carpets
- Large swim platform
- USB port
- Hydraulic Steering Damper
- Tilt steering
- Ski tow eye
- Wide angle mirrors
- Handle Grips with palm rest
If you need something that goes beyond this list, note that most of the accessories for Explorer Pro and Fish Pro models can be retrofitted on the Limited 325.
Engine
There’s no question that the most exciting novelty of the latest GTX Limited 325 is its upgraded power source. Introduced in 2024 on the RXT-X 325 and RXP-X 325, the revamped Rotax 1630 ACE 325hp is the most powerful PWC engine in the marketplace.
This supercharged Sea-Doo engine is a more advanced version of its proven 300hp successors, which have been around since 2016.
Just like its smaller relatives, this 325hp variant now comes standard with the Sea-Doo-exclusive iDF debris removal system.
In a nutshell, the key features of the 1630 ACE 325hp are as follows:
- Engine stroke: 4-Stroke
- Cylinders: Inline-3
- Displacement: 1630cc
- Max RPM: 8000
- Horsepower: 325hp
- Fuel type: 91 octane
- Fuel-injected
- Supercharged with external intercooler
It is also packed with a lot of advanced technologies, including:
- Closed-loop cooling system (CLCS)
- Dry sump lubrication system
- VTS (Variable Trim System)
- Exhaust system: D-Sea-Bel System
- iTC Throttle system
- IBR – Intelligent Brake & Reverse
- RF D.E.S.S.™ Key
- iDF – Intelligent Debris-Free Pump System
Performance
Thanks to its large, heavy ST3 hull, the GTX Limited 325 ensures outstanding stability.
Its advanced technologies like the iTC throttle control, iBR brake and reverse, and iDF debris removal system ensure a smooth and hassle-free operation.
The top speed of the ski is governed by a 67 mph limit due to an “agreement” between the USCG and PWC manufacturers. (This performance restriction affects literally all high-performance jet skis across all brands.)
You can also expect the 0-60 mph time of the ski to be less than 4 seconds under ideal conditions.
Due to its supercharged engine, the GTX Limited takes premium (91 octane) gasoline.
