When you check this chart carefully, you can find that the top speed of most performance and luxury models are the same, exactly 67 mph and not by chance.

This is because every high-performance model has a speed limiter unit installed, in accordance with the agreement between the United States Coast Guard (USCG) and the PWC manufacturers.

This special unit limits every PWC’s top speed electronically to 65 mph (with a 2 mph tolerance). If you’d like to learn more about the PWC’s performance in general, don’t miss our detailed post on this topic!
